One thing that unifies all of the art and design students at PLNU is our love for music. Every individual has their own unique taste in music, so I sought to represent each of them on my poster in a nostalgic and personal way. My concept sketches came to life as I collected CD cases and a boom box to arrange for a shoot. A poll sent to my fellow classmates gathering data on their favorite music artists and albums directly informed my design. Through the integration of sourcing typefaces, hand lettering, digital illustration, and Photoshop, I pieced together a composition that represents each creative’s unique interests. My title and typographic selection is derived from the digital display aesthetics of old stereos, bringing us all back to our childhood while simultaneously looking toward our next steps.
