This publication design merges the Cooper Hewitt’s clean, bold visual identity with the vibrant textiles, prints, and product design of its late 20th- and 21st-century acquisitions. Looking Forward / Looking Back curates a range of mediums with a focused spotlight on Sheila Hicks as a key figure in contemporary textile art. Through research-driven curation, experimental typography, intentional long-form text styling, and a clear visual hierarchy, this publication balances expressive layouts that highlight both the artwork and museum information.
